Provence Promotion, the economic development agency of the Bouches-du-Rhône, was created by the Marseilles-Provence Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the County Council. Its goal is to help both French and foreign companies establish themselves successfully in the region.

Financial Subsidies and local public grants
 

The industrial sector PAT (Grants for land use planning).

The Regional Development Grant is an equipment subsidy provided by the State for businesses which carry out operations meeting specific requirements, mainly for industrial projects.

This subsidy is not often provided for logistics projects apart for them with important added value.

The investment plan must be greater than 15 million FF when it concerns starting or expanding a business, an internal reconversion or a takeover of a business in difficulty. The investment plan must also create more than 15 jobs.

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is one of the EU's Structural Funds which co-finance actions to help reduce the gaps in socio-economic development between the various regions and Member States of the Union.

The ERDF's resources are mainly used to finance improvements in infrastructure, productive investment, local development, human resources and the environment. This grant can be often inplemented by local public grants, particulary for logistics projects.

Financial and usefull helps can also be obtained for specific subjects like : training of staff, export development, fundamental and apllied research, special equipements and so on.
